Elizabeth Monestime, Ed.S.

I am a Certified and Licensed School Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with children in school-based settings. Before becoming a school psychologist, I worked as an elementary school teacher, giving me a strong understanding of how children learn, what can get in the way, and how the right support can make a meaningful difference.

Throughout my career with the school district, I have conducted cognitive, academic, and social-emotional evaluations for children across grade levels. My work has included assessing concerns related to learning challenges, attention difficulties, emotional and behavioral functioning, and giftedness. My background in both classroom teaching and school-based evaluation allows me to approach assessments with a practical lens, ensuring that recommendations are not only thorough but also realistic and applicable within real-world educational settings.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, my Specialist of Education in School Psychology from Florida International University, and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. I am a Licensed School Psychologist in the state of Florida and hold certifications in School Psychology, Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and ESOL. I bring this combined experience into my work to support families in gaining a clearer understanding of their child’s needs and the next steps to help them succeed.
