How we can help you:

Private, Comprehensive Testing

Our testing is designed to answer your specific questions about your current functioning and needs. As applicable, testing may give clarity via a private diagnosis to assist in your understanding of how to best overcome your challenges and what services/accommodations you may qualify for.

Tailored Recommendations for Success

Based on the results of the evaluation as well as any profiles of strengths/weakness, we provide recommendations of services and/or strategies that can be completed in the home, academic, or work setting to support your goal attainment and overall success.

Thorough, Easy-to-Follow Documentation

We adhere to the standards of state/national exam boards, universities, and other entities to ensure our reports adequately advocate for your needs. This helps you to obtain the accommodations you need to be in the best position to excel and reach the dreams you have for your life.

What to Expect

A psychological assessment is a thorough process first involving a detailed interview of you and possibly a significant person in your life or therapist/psychiatrist, as applicable. Any previous documentation or reports of your experiences would also be reviewed. You will then complete standardized questionnaires about yourself (typically just “true or false” or Likert rating scales). For psycheoducational evaluations, an added component of various performance tasks to objectively measure their abilities will also be included. All of this information would then be put together to determine what, if any, diagnoses you meet criteria for.

Your evaluator will also provide you with a list of tailored, individualized recommendations for how you may best improve on any areas of concern. The entire process may involve one to two appointments (about a hour to two hours each) and can span from two weeks to a month, while the evaluator gathers more information from the other sources you provide and analyzes all results. The conclusion of the assessment is in the form of a “feedback session” in which your evaluator will provide you with a full written report, explain to you all the findings, and give you ample opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
